"Are you Joanna Lane?"

Joanna had just finished her class and was seeing off students and parents from the piano studio when a woman in her early twenties approached her with a questioning look.

Joanna sized her up and nodded in confirmation.

"Yes."

"Oh, I knew I hadnt mistaken you," the woman immediately smiled, addressing Joanna, "Its been so many years, hasnt it? We havent seen each other since high school graduation. Where have you been? Have you been in City A the whole time?"

The woman chattered on, immersed in the joy of meeting an old classmate, while Joanna was somewhat bewildered. Her current memory was very short, and within that brief memory, there was no information about this woman.

"Sorry, I..." Joanna hesitated for a moment, then smiled and said, "I had a car accident after graduating from high school and I dont remember much from before, so..."

Upon hearing Joannas words, the womans eyes flashed with a hint of shock, and she blurted out, "Amnesia?"

Joanna gave a helpless smile, "Something like that."

The womans gaze held a hint of disbelief, but seeing the expression on Joannas face, she gradually started to believe it. Joanna also understood; after all, amnesia is such a melodramatic event that its usually only seen in novels or Korean dramas. Before she lost her memory, she probably wouldnt have believed in such a clich茅d plot either.

"I see," the womans expression quickly changed, saying, "No wonder I havent heard from you since high school. Oh, right, my name is Cindy Qin, we were in the same class before."

After introducing herself, Joanna looked her over again and vaguely felt that her name and face seemed familiar. Although Joanna had lost her memory, she still had photos and such from the past, which didnt leave her completely in the dark about her previous life.

"I think I have a vague impression. You were behind me during the graduation photo," Joanna remembered.

"Right, right," Cindy Qin laughed. Mentioning the graduation photo, Cindy said, "Oh, by the way, we have a class reunion next Saturday at the South City Resort. You should come too."

With that, Cindy took out a business card from her bag and enthusiastically said to Joanna, "I organized it. I havent been able to contact you until now, and I didnt expect to run into you here. This class reunion, almost everyone will be there, you should come too."

Cindy added, "It might even help you recover your memory."

Joanna glanced at the business card. It was black with gold edges, very beautiful. Cindys name was embossed in gold, with her position written next to it, Resort Manager.

"This resort is owned by my boyfriend, and hes covering all the expenses. You just need to show up," Cindy explained kindly, seeing Joanna looking at her business card.

"Actually..." Joanna wanted to say more, but a drivers call for Cindy came from outside the door. Before Joanna could finish, Cindy warmly patted her shoulder and said, "Remember to contact me, I have to go now, bye."

With that, Cindy left the piano studio lobby, leaving Joanna holding the business card.

As soon as Cindy left, several teachers from the studio gathered around Joanna, analyzing Cindy.

"Joanna, your classmate is wealthy. The bag shes carrying is a Hermes Kelly, a popular color and leather, costing hundreds of thousands just for the accessories," one teacher remarked.

"And those high heels are expensive too, not to mention the clothes, a Chanel suit, it must be worth at least a hundred thousand. By the way, whats she here for?" another teacher asked.

"Shes here to arrange a class for her niece. Its said she wants to open an elite class at our studio," a third teacher added.

"Tsk, our studio owner is about to make a fortune," one of the teachers commented.

"Speaking of which, what were you two talking about?" a colleague asked Joanna.

"A class reunion," Joanna replied simply.

"Oh, I see," the colleague said, "Usually, class reunions are just about showing off. Seeing how well shes doing, she probably wants to flaunt her success at the reunion to satisfy her vanity. Its not enough for just one classmate to see her success; she wants all her classmates to witness it."

"Are you going?" another colleague asked.

"Im not..." Joanna began.

Before she could finish, the studio owner, Dana Daleys voice came from the office upstairs.

"Joanna, come to my office for a moment," Dana called out.

As soon as Danas voice rang out, the other piano teachers knowingly patted Joanna on the shoulder, saying, "The owner knows, now you have to go even if you dont want to."
