"Mr. Smith, the front desk just called to inform me that theres a little girl claiming to be your daughter."
The distinguished man, Jack Smith, known as the Tyrant of South Town or simply Mr. Smith, sat behind his massive oak desk, reviewing documents. His female secretary entered to relay this message.
He was in his thirties with a face as stern as if chiseled from stone. Dressed in white and black, he exuded an aura of calm power. Hearing his secretarys report, he didnt react, continuing to read his documents as he spoke expressionlessly.
"If there are more reports of such baseless matters, resign voluntarily."
"Mr. Smith, I apologize. I will send her away immediately," the secretary replied, beads of cold sweat forming on her forehead. She cursed herself for her foolishness; every few days, girls would fabricate reasons to meet Mr. Smith, all dreaming of rising above their station.
However, Nelly was the first to claim to be his daughter.
How could she have believed such a tale! Mr. Smith had no scandals over the years, and no women by his side; it was impossible for him to have a daughter.
The secretary left the chairmans office and quickly called the front desk.
"Mr. Smith doesnt have a daughter; remove her immediately."
On the front desks chairs sat a four-year-old girl, Nelly, crunching on popcorn, dressed in a black little Daoist robe with a braid down her back, her cheeks plump, and her large, dark eyes bright.
Though the receptionist felt deceived, she couldnt muster any anger. How could anyone be upset with such a cute little girl, who looked like a living Barbie doll?
Her plump, adorable face was irresistibly squeezable.
"Sister, Ive almost finished your popcorn, but why hasnt daddy come down to pick me up yet?" Nelly burped and asked with a smile.
Heavenly!
Her smile was even cuter.
"Im sorry, honey, our chairman said he doesnt have a daughter."
The receptionist couldnt bring herself to say anything harsher; she couldnt bear to hurt such a lovely child.
"Oh, Nelly understands, thank you, sister."
Nelly slowly climbed down from the chair and picked up her small bundle with a stick.
All of this was expected, but daddy, Nelly wont give up.
The events of the past life would not happen again.
Nelly had been reborn.
In her previous life, she was a tragedy. Abandoned at the doorstep of a Daoist temple, she was eventually found by her father, Jack Smith.
To make up for the lost years, he doted on her, turning her into a princess everyone envied. But Jack Smith became increasingly ruthless, eventually becoming the ultimate antagonist, even establishing a terrifying laboratory that seemed bent on destroying the world.
This led to Jack Smith making too many enemies, and on Nellys coming-of-age day, a conspiracy against the Smith family began.
Overnight, corpses littered the ground, and no one in the Smith family survived. Nelly was also left abandoned in the wilderness.
Now, Nelly has returned to the age of four, actively seeking her family to prevent the tragedies of her past life.
She aims to protect her loved ones and change her fathers path, ensuring he doesnt become a terrifying figure.
In the evening, Jack Smith appeared in the garage, pressing his car key.
Tonight, he had a social engagement to discuss a billion-dollar project, and he had to secure the contract tonight.
Just as he was about to get into the car, he felt something grab his lower leg. Looking down, he saw a little milky ball climbing up his straight, long leg like a tree.
"Daddy, Im Nelly, your own flesh and blood."
Nelly climbed onto Jack Smiths chest, her two little chubby hands clutching his shirt, her big, dark eyes staring unblinkingly.
Wow!
Her dad was so handsome when he was young! He looked like a big star!
Daddy, dont worry, I will protect you in this life!
Jack Smiths face darkened.
Who dared to be so bold!
Daring to send a little kid to impersonate his child and even dare to claim to be his daughter!
"Daddy, my name is Nelly, your own daughter!"
Nellys little chubby hands clutched Jack Smiths shirt, and she used a bit more force with her little feet, stepping on Jack Smiths chest and hugging his neck like climbing a tree.
Seeing her dad again, Nelly felt a bit emotional. Although in her previous life, her dad was a villain in everyones eyes, once he acknowledged her, he gave her almost all his love.
Jack Smiths face was overcast.
He was the feared tyrant, and now he was being hugged by a little girl, who was babbling and calling him dad?
This was!
"Daddy, dont you want Nelly? Can you bear it?"
Nelly pouted, shaking her big, dark eyes, her long eyelashes blinking.
How could he bear it?! She wasnt his child, even though she was somewhat cute...
But she was dressed so inappropriately. A little girl as delicate as a piece of carved jade, dressed in a little Daoist outfit, looked really ridiculous!
Jack Smith lifted her up a bit, adjusting her little buttocks, and said sternly, "Im not your dad!"
Nelly pouted, "Daddy, have you forgotten about the things that happened many years ago? Nelly is exactly four years old this year."
Many years ago?
Jack Smith felt a strange panic in his heart, but he immediately denied it. It was impossible!
While denying it in his heart, he looked at Nelly a few more times.
She was chubby and didnt look like him at all, so it was impossible.
He had business tonight and had been delayed by her for so long. He would just throw her away directly!
His big hand reached out and pulled Nelly off his neck.
Nelly was held by the back of her clothes, hanging down like a little piglet, looking up with teary eyes.
Whoosh.
Jack Smith opened the back door and threw Nelly onto the rear seat.
"Sit still and dont move around."
He would verify her identity later and then throw her away. It wouldnt take much longer.
He fastened the seatbelt on little Nelly and then got into the drivers seat.
Tonights business was very confidential, so he didnt even bring a driver and drove away himself.
"Daddy, where are you going? Are you taking me home?"
Nelly was very excited, her little face flushed. She finally found her dad. She didnt know if her mom would be at home in this life. In the last life, her dad and mom were never together, and she didnt see her moms face even when she died!
Children are indeed annoying and noisy!
Jack Smith looked at the rearview mirror, his face very cold, "Its not going home, Im going to discuss business."
Discuss business?
Nelly quietly pinched her fingers to calculate. It was over. Her dads business tonight seemed to be in trouble.
Jack Smith drove onto the highway, and because he was running out of time, his speed increased, but the weather was not favorable, and there was a traffic jam all the way.
Looking at the endless line of cars in front of him, he impatiently honked the horn.
Nelly, sitting in the back, blinked guiltily, wondering if her dad would blame all this on her, thinking she had delayed his business.
